New Additions To Our Leadership Team
Tech Policy Design Centre extends a warm welcome to our inaugural Head of Policy Design (Zoe Hawkins) and Head of Education Design (Simon McAllister).

Tech policy reinforcements have arrived! We are delighted to welcome Zoe Hawkins and Simon McAllister as the newest additions to our leadership team at Tech Policy Design Centre (TPDC).
Zoe is TPDC’s inaugural Head of Policy Design. She brings diverse expertise from her career working on tech policy issues spanning government, industry, think tanks and academia. Zoe has our dream job of building out TPDC’s policy design and research team.
Simon is TPDC’s inaugural Head of Education Design. His career spans cyber security, digital trade, cyber and tech diplomacy and defence, leaving him uniquely placed to work with government, industry and civil society to design TPDC’s exciting new educational offerings: Australia’s first dedicated tech policy curriculum!
Just four days into the job, Zoe and Simon have already injected incredible passion, energy and expertise.
A big welcome to you both from all the team at TPDC. We are so excited to be working with you to deliver on TPDC’s mission to shape technology for the longer-term benefit of humanity. Watch this space: 2024 is going to be a HUGE year for TPDC!
